Legal Action is an enrichment group aimed at those interested in Law, justice and human rights. The group meet weekly during the Autumn and Spring terms allowing students to focus on exams during the summer term.
The group take part in discussions, workshops, mock trial and visits that aim to give them an overview of the legal system and the professions that serve it.
We run organized visits to magistrates' court, the Old Bailey and the Supreme Court as well as top corporate law firms. Meetings have included lectures from barristers and judges at Middle Temple and law student mentors from UCL as well as professional etiquette training in readiness for work experience placements in a variety of prestigious London law firms.
This is a great opportunity for students to find out from top professionals whether law is right for them and it also serves to enhance any CV or university application. Students interested in joining the legal Action Group should pick up an application form from Careers.
